Healthy Diet is very important for everyone but also those who are planning for baby. The quality of sperm and egg are mostly depending upon the proper nutrition in your food are both for men and women. For proper healthy diet you need carbohydrate, protein, vitamins, minerals, healthy fat, fiber. Eat mostly homemade food is the most healthier option for you and your Would be baby,
Grains: wheat, rice, oats, corn meal, barley, quinoa are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Eat whole grain food like, wheat Roti, brown bread, oats, etc.
Vegetables: choose dark green, orange and red vegetables are rich in Vitamins A, C, k and potassium, such as spinach, broccoli, boo Choy, chard, kale, corn, carrots, beetroots, turnip greens, collards, beetroots
Beans: lentils, legumes (dry beans and peas), chickpeas, Lima beans, kidney beans, soya beans, black beans are rich in fiber and protein
Fruits: Orange, apricot, strawberries, Avocado, Raspberries are rich in protein
Lean meat: Beef, chicken, duck and turkey, all contain about 1 mg of iron 30z serving (two to three ounces) of serving daily
Nuts: Walnuts, flaxseed, and chia seeds contains omega 3s, Walnuts help to increase the sperm motility.
Fish: Salmon, anchovies, sardines, herring, fresh water trout, shrimp, Pollock, Tilapia, Cod, Catfish are all good source of omega-3s and low in mercury. The pregnant women eat at least 340 grams (8 to 12 ounces) of these fish in weak and local water fish only 170 grams (6 ounces) a weak
Dairy product: Boiled milk, yoghurt, cheese (not process), is the good source of calcium, vitamins, magnesium and zinc
Folic acid/folate: Folic acid is supplement by manmade Vitamin B. It is also called folate, it helps to develop neural tube of baby brain and spinal cord. Doctor recommend you to take 400 mcg of folic acid daily before you are pregnancy and after your 12 week of pregnancy. Folate prevent the defect called spina bifida in a baby. folic acid is found naturally in dark green vegetables and citrus fruits also fortified cereals
All the above foods are safe for eat in pre pregnancy and pregnancy period also you can talk to your fertility nutritionate. For various cases pregnant women who have chronic disease or any other problems those have to talk with their doctors for changes in some diet.
