COVISHIELD

  • Medical name: COVISHIELD, chAdox1 ncov-19.
  • Dose: one dose(0.5ml), viral particles(vp).
  • Solution: Colorless to slightly brown, clear to slightly opaque and particle free with a pH of 6.6
  • Therapeutic indication: COVISHIELD Indicated for active immunization of individuals>= 18 years old for prevention of covid-19 disease.
  • Posology and method of administration: COVISHIELD vaccination course consists of two separate doses of 0.5ml each. The second dose should be administered between 4 to 6 week after the first the dose. However, there is data available for administration of the second dose up to twelve weeks after the dose.
    Side effect of vaccine:
    • pain
    • redness or swelling where the needle was given
    • muscle pain
    • headache nausea and vomiting
    • Fever
    • Chills
    • Tiredness
    • joint pain

  • Administration: COVISHIELD is for intramuscular injection only preferably in the deltoid muscle
  • Ingredient: L-Histidine, L-Histidine hydrochloride monohydrate, Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate, Polysorbate 80, Ethanol, sucrose, sodium chloride, Disodium edetate dehydrate(EDTA), Water for injection.
  • Storage: COVISHIELD is stored and transported at refrigeration temperature of 2-8 degree Celsius.
  • Contraindication:
    • Had a severe allergic reaction after any drugs, food, any vaccine, or any ingredients of COVISHIELD vaccine
    • Pregnant or plan to become pregnant
    • Breastfeeding
    • Fever
    • bleeding disorder or are on a blood thinner
